How do I file a claim?

Our coverage usage is easy. When you are on a plan of ours and a breakdown does occur we can deal directly with a certified shop (get in touch with us to learn more). We work out the situation with them and can pay directly.

What type of spare parts will be used to fix my vehicle?

All replacement parts, whether it’s remanufactured or used, will have a mileage equal to or less than the odometer reading of the vehicle at the time of servicing.

Is it possible to transfer this policy to a different car?

In case you get a new car, the most straightforward approach is to contact our Customer Service at 1 (800) 349-3027 and we will assist you in setting up coverage for your new car and canceling the coverage for your old one.

What will be the amount of my refund?

Coverage Questions

Will I be eligible for coverage if I own a pre-owned/used vehicle?

Yes, pre-owned/used vehicles are also accepted by us, just as new vehicles are. Please get in touch with one of our representatives toll-free at, and we will evaluate your details further.

Can I transfer my service contract to another person if I sell my vehicle?

Most contracts are transferable in case of selling the vehicle, please contact one of our representatives toll-free at 1 (800) 349-3027 to discuss the terms of your specific contract.

Is it possible to cover multiple vehicles under one service contract?

No, as each vehicle has different mileage, age, condition, and repair history, the contracts are created specifically for each vehicle. This guarantees that each vehicle gets the appropriate level of protection.

Claims Questions

Will filing a claim have any impact on my premium rate?

No, filing a claim will not affect your premium rate, it will remain the same, regardless of how many claims you file

Is it necessary to pay for the rental vehicle in advance?

It depends on the circumstances. Some dealerships may offer rental cars without an advance payment, but if you have to rent from a local agency then you might have to pay upfront and be reimbursed after the repair is done.

What will be the next step after filing a claim?

After you file a claim, the repair shop will get in touch with the claims department to verify if the repair falls under the coverage, and then contact you to proceed further.

What is the process to decide if a claim will be paid?

Firstly, check if the part is covered in your coverage plan. Afterwards, the mechanic will diagnose the cause of breakdown and then contact claims department to decide if it is a covered repair or not.

What are my responsibilities to ensure the coverage stays valid?

It is mandatory to follow the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule, retain receipts of all scheduled maintenance. Also, you must be out of the waiting period to file a claim, as per the details mentioned in the contract. Misuse, neglect, or modification of the vehicle during the contract term is not allowed.

Is it possible for me to make multiple payments?

Is it mandatory for me to opt for automatic monthly payments?

To make sure that the coverage remains active in case of breakdowns, contracts are usually set up for automatic monthly payments.

Is it possible to alter my due date for payments?

If you are current on payments, we can change your due date, please contact Payment Processing at 1 (800) 349-3027, and they will assist you.

Is it possible for me to skip a payment?

Skipping a payment is generally not allowed under the contract to ensure that the coverage remains active in case of breakdowns.

General Questions

Why is it necessary for you to collect such detailed information from me when I request for a quote online?

In order to suggest the most suitable protection, we need to know the make, model, mileage, and age of your vehicle. As regulations vary from one state to another, we also need your location and contact details.

How do I determine the right vehicle service contract for me?

When selecting a plan, regardless of the level of coverage, ensure that it provides an option for cancellation, monthly payment options, complimentary towing and rental cars, and a money-back guarantee. ADAP supports all its contracts with such services and features, which many other warranties and service contracts don’t offer. In terms of the level of protection, make sure to carefully review what each contract covers. Choosing the most minimal and low-cost coverage, may still leave you with the expense of costly repairs.

Are the service contracts you offer linked to any vehicle manufacturers or dealers?

No, we are not connected to the extended warranties that manufacturers and dealerships sell. Instead, we provide service contracts via our collaborations with reputable suppliers. These contracts offer coverage for nearly all vehicle makes and models, and repairs can be done by your local dealership or repair shop.

Vehicle Modification Questions

Will you offer coverage for my vehicle if it has a specific title such as salvaged, branded, or if the vehicle has been deemed a total loss?

Yes, we can offer coverage for vehicles with salvaged/branded titles, a small additional fee may apply. Please reach out to one of our specialists at 1 (800) 349-3027 for more details.

Is coverage provided for vehicles used for services such as Uber Eats, Grub hub, Door Dash or pizza delivery?

Yes, we can offer coverage for vehicles used in such services, an additional fee may apply to the contract.

 

Can you provide coverage for my vehicle which is used for commercial purposes?

Yes, we have plans specifically designed for commercial vehicles, with a possibility of a surcharge being applied.

Will my truck with a lift kit be covered?

Yes, coverage is possible if the lift kit is 6 inches or less, with an additional surcharge applied.

Is it possible to get coverage for my vehicle/truck with bigger tires or wheels?

Yes, coverage can be provided if the new tires are within 2 inches of the original factory tires. However, we are unable to offer coverage for vehicles with tires that are 37 inches or larger.

Can I get coverage for my vehicle if I pull a trailer?

Yes, coverage is possible if the lift kit is 6 inches or less, with an additional surcharge applied.

Is it possible to make performance enhancements on my vehicle and still get coverage?

Certain performance enhancements such as tuners, chips, programmers, headers, and snow plows can lead to voiding coverage. For more information, please contact one of our specialists at 1 (800) 349-3027.

Will my vehicle be covered if I use it on a farm?

Yes, coverage is possible with an additional agricultural use surcharge that may be applied.

Is coverage offered for vehicles used for Uber/Lyft/Ridesharing services?
