Automotive Customer Service Claims

The role of a Customer Service Claims Specialist is to assist customers with their inquiries and provide information and explanations on the various levels of contract coverage and terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze information in the Vehicle Service Contract and claims system to advise customers on appropriate benefit amounts
  • Assist the Claims Adjudication Department by requesting and distributing internal information
  • Respond to phone and email inquiries, providing information and explanations on the various levels of contract coverage and the claims process
  • Manage work-flow, process, and complete all requests and documents according to established procedures
  • Be a team player and work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

The Customer Service Claims Specialist will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and helping customers navigate their coverage and claims.

 

The Customer Service Claims Specialist should possess the following qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required
    Strong organizational and customer service skills, with the ability to problem-solve and multitask. Must be detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry skills
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with contract holders, agents, dealers, internal staff/upper management, and customers. Call center experience is preferred
  • Proficient in using a PC and familiar with MS Office, able to learn new programs quickly and type at least 35 wpm. Ability to document information while discussing the claim over the phone
  • Experience in an Automotive Service Department is preferred.
